Mail!

Missionaries love to get mail! And letters are the only form of communication I can receive from non-family members. Here are my addresses, and if you write me I will write back! Just don't expect it to come soon. : )
This will be my address to write me at for the duration of my mission! I might sometimes send home the address I am living at, but since I'll only be guaranteed to be there for 6 weeks at a time, this is usually the best address to use. (Note-the name of the mission has to be before my name to ensure delivery.)
Mission home:
Belgium/Netherlands Mission
Sister Jennifer Stevens
Schipholweg 66
2316 XE, Leiden
Netherlands

Packages:
If you want to send a package, I would love to get it! The address is the same. Here's some of the instructions I was given with regards to packages.
  • Use padded envelopes when sending small items.
  • If you ship with a private courier, they will need the mission office telephone number: 31 71-521-0088
  • Clothing, food products, and merchandise should be sent direct to the mission office address. However, clothing or other dutiable merchandise often does not reach its intended destination or, if it does arrive, may be subject to customs duties that I will need to pay. Small packages of nominal value may be sent through the United States Postal Service. Photographs and tapes may be included in these packages. Merchandise sent through a commercial mail carrier is extremely expensive and may be subject to customs duties.
  • If the declared value of a package is over $40.00, the mission home has to pay taxes on it (which means I'll be paying it eventually). The easiest way to avoid that is to declare the value as less than $40.00. :)
  • It'll probably work out fine to send a letter either to my location or to my mission home, but it's always best to send the package to the mission home. They get forwarded as soon as possible.
