I am very very much loving the MTC. I have received and read several letters since I have gotten here, for which I am most grateful. So, now for what you've all been waiting for: my life at the MTC. Fantastic! Okay, I'm done. Just kidding... I have two companions, Zuster M. and Zuster L., and they are basically the best companions in the whole world. Not even an exaggeration. We're all pretty different, but we also have a lot in common, particularly a love for the Savior and for missionary work. So that's about all that really matters. Dutch is coming along great. We have 2 districts of 9 sisters and 3 elders. They are all awesome. We sang in the choir for devotional, which was amazing. We'll be singing this Sunday for Easter too, which is great. We've taught our "investigator" (he's just pretending) 5 lessons, all in Dutch (starting last Friday), and he's committed to be baptized in 2 weeks. He is great. Our teachers are absolutely the best, super funny, super nice, and super spiritual. Also, they speak Dutch. Whoa. So do I! Thoughts for the day: "Don't you quit...some blessings come soon, others come late, and others don't come until heaven. But they do come...You can rely on good things to come." Elder Holland. Watch the Mormon message "Lifting Burdens." (click here to view) The Church is true. The gospel is true. I love you all.

Until later,
Love,
Zuster Stevens

Arrived at the MTC!

I am here! At the MTC! I am happy and all is well. I don't have too much time tonight, but here are a few of my thoughts. First, the gospel is totally and completely true. The Spirit is so strong here and life is absolutely awesome. I gave away a Book of Mormon on the plane today. My companions, Zuster L. and Zuster M., are both awesome. The MTC is fantastic and I'm super grateful to be here! I know the gospel is true.

So long for now!

This is it! Tomorrow morning I will be entering the MTC, and tonight I'm getting set apart as a missionary. My Mom will be posting my weekly letters here. I love you all and I will miss you! Send me letters (my addresses are in the Mail link on the right).
Best wishes!
Love, Sister Stevens

I hope they call me on a mission...

I have been singing this particular song to myself for nearly my entire life. Seriously. And then it happened!  Starting March 20, 2013, I will be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the two wonderful countries of Belgium and the Netherlands for 18 months. I will be speaking Dutch, which is sure to be an adventure. : ) For the first 6 weeks I will be in the Provo Missionary Training Center, and on April 30th, I will be headed out to the field! This is a dream come true for me and I am so excited that it's finally happening! Belgium/Netherlands Mission, here I come!
